The collaboration between NADFAS and the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) came about following a pilot project in East Anglia in 2009.

This year NADFAS Societies submitted 284 images from 73 schools of original student work including paintings, ceramics and sculpture. The challenge was for the RBA Council members to pick a number of pieces which combined the highest levels of skill, expression and draughtsmanship. 

The students - RBA Scholars -  will have their selected works shown at a Rising Stars exhibition in February, then at the RBA's annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries from 21 March to 1 April where the work will be displayed alongside that of professional artists.  The students who have had their work selected are listed below.
